Written By Hamsi on March 17, 2009 | 12:50 PM

Our day never dawns without a hot tea. Well when I was suggested by my friend to go for Green Tea, I obeyed her immediately and went for shopping. To my surprise there were so many Tea varieties. Waw! so many tea's then sure each must be unique in taste as well as its character I thought. Luckily I went through such an article in Newspaper which I brief to you here,

1. Green Tea - Helps regulate blood sugar levels and prevents cavities and gingivitis
2. Black Tea - According to a srudy those who drink more than 6 cups a day lower the risk of coronary heart disease by more than 50 %
3. White Tea - Fights the ravages of ageing, reduces the risk of lung, colon and skin cancer and strengthens the immune system
4. Red Tea - Both red and black tea are said the to lower blood pressure and prevent heart disease and strokes.
5. Yellow Tea - Helps reduce heat in the body and is said to contain fluoride which prevents tooth decay.
6. Floral Tea - Good for eyes and skin and helps in relaxing the body
7. Oolong Tea - The polyphenols in the tea activate the enzyme, responsible fats in the body while the tannic acid helps to lower cholesterol levels.
8. Fruit Tea - Rich in Vitamin C, it is good for digestion and the complexion, sharpens eyesight and clears the tastebuds
